Monday, March 31, 2008
It's been a while since I've posted any eye candy for ya. I've been busy as a cat in heat trying to get the studio preped before we run off to Indy to look at house. We've decided that Irvington is where we want to go. It's an artzy and historical area...of course. Here's some fun reading for ya, if you are interested...,_Indiana overview a haunted house in Irvington...most old homes have their ghosts. more history

So that's what's happenin' with me.

I've also been making lots of beads...some also more me. The below either are in my Etsy store or will be. A few have already sold.

Glad you enjoyed the eye candy....
Back to the torch with me. I'm making some beads for ME today. Yeppers, I've finally decided to go back to jewelry making.

Beady Dude Picture Testing...

Wednesday, March 19, 2008
I don't see anything on the blog and it's twice in one day. I'm just picture testing...but it's not bad eye candy too. :-)

VA's beady dudes
Possible Series I
Part of same possible series

Same thang...except I really like these nuggets. Note to self, I may have to keep them. :-)

OK...back to the studio.

Lots and Lots of Lampwork Beads...Calypso

As you see, I've been a bit busy at the torch.

Brights have been my new has barrels and rolos. The shape has been around since there has been glass but I really didn't make the shape much. I've found that they are simply fab for bracelets.
Most of these are either on Etsy or will be soon.
Not all of them...some of these beady dudes have already sold.

Plus there were a few sets that you will see jewelry that I've made.
Yep...still more...
And more...
More yet...
This is one of my favorite sets....

Ok...I'm done. :-)
Off to the studio...catch ya later....

You Asked for IT...more lampwork beads...

I've off in my own little world here lately. For one, I had a sudden pain in the neck. For real! I've been on the torch so much that the left side of my neck flaired up. Then I couldn't move my neck. Anyway, I'm better and back on the torch.

Several folks have asked that I make some barrel and rondels in brights. Mostly in bracelet strands. I just pulled these beady dudes out of the kiln this morning. It's the beginning...I've still got another pile coming. I will keep making these until I can't stand it any longer. I want a couple small strands myself for bracelets.
If anyone needs focals in these colors, let me know in the next couple of days. Even though I'm not taking anymore customs until we move, I've got the colors on the I'll makem'.

I'll be uploading lots of new encasement beady sets on Etsy the next couple of days. I finally got the all the pictures done.

Gotta get to the studio...she's calling my name.

Have a happy, creative day!

Blogger Hates Me!

Monday, March 10, 2008
Just as I'm ready to upload a boat load of new lampwork pictures, the uploader is busted. Mmmm...just my luck.

Anyway when it get fixed...I've got lots of new stuff to show you. If you get bored, take a peek at the Etsy store. Some of the new sets are up.

Right now I'm working on a Four Corners series, one that I've been working on for a while. This time, I'm keeping a few sets for me. Actually I'm making some jewlery for me. It's been a while and I could use a bit of a pick me up with the wardrobe.

OK...back to the old grind.

Have a happy, creative day!

Lots of New Lampwork Beads

Wednesday, March 05, 2008
It's been so long that I've almost forgotten that I have a blog. I've been really busy with my Etsy store, again. I've been trying to get stocked up for the move. Anyway...I got hooked on encasements. It the mix natural stone and lampwork concept again. It's all because Bob has been cabbing and slabbing in the studio again. Everytime he does, I start drooling at the mouth when I see his cabs. It must be that I'm having some sort of withdraw symptons because I'm not making jewelry right now.

The above would be wonderful with amazonite. The below goes with most of the odd hued green stones.
The below is orange and pink...there is nothing natural looking about it. I just liked the color combo. :-)

The rest of the sets match up with boat loads of different types of stone.

The below is one of my doesn't look like much in the pics....because it has a watery look to them close up. I think it's the's an odd shade of patina blue.

These two...well the above is another strand that goes with everything. The below has a garnet and olive jade calling.
The more pink...not even in a natural hue. :-) I mixed some up with some blue lace agate and kept them for myself though.

I just finished working on some fumed and silvered focals plus a couple of sets. I should have more pictures soon.
Now...the next project seems to be working with silver-laden glasses. Not sure after that...I've got lots of ideas. So who knows....mostly currently, since I'm not taking on any customs, I'm making what I want. That's greatly helping with burnout.
Ok...I hear my kiln calling me...I want to check what surprises she hold for me!
Have a happy, creative day!
