More on the Wonder Sheltie...Sheltie United!!!!

Tuesday, October 12, 2010
Thank you Laura!!!!

Briggs, the wonder sheltie, is now 7.5 months old. He's currently sleeping under my office desk. :-) Briggs is on the small side; currently about 14.5 inches at the shoulder and weighing in 18-19 lbs.

His puppy kindergarten classes are doing well...we have sit, down, and stay command...plus he comes when called. He's now doing stairs but car rides are still an issue. We thought it might be the crate so I held on the way home from kindergarten. Man-o-man was I sorry…he yakked on me. There is nothing worse than slimy training treats all over your chest.

Last weekend, we did some off leash work and he worked it beautifully. He's been socialized with other dogs and people...but he's doesn't trust, two legged people other than Bob or I. Which is fine! I rather have him leery. He's been trained not to take treats from just anyone. I normally give the treats to someone that he's supposed to take treats from and have to verbally give him the OK.

Later Gators!

Same Place, originally uploaded by Moon Stumpp.

I've been playing with Photoshop again. I really want to get some photos to play with when I get back to mixed media.

Anyway...have a great day!

Last of the Gardens at BSU

Wednesday, October 06, 2010

Bob and I had to make a trip of to BSU (Ball State) so I thought I'd bring my camera.  Normally, it's a beautiful campus...it is but has a bit of what I call that 'in between seasons'.  It's not really fall and summer is still there but hiding.

Both pics are by Aaron's dorm.

Have a happy fall day!

Local Artists and Crafters Help you Gear Up for the Holiday Season

The Murphy Arts Center Artists are pleased to present Murphy's Seasonal Bazaar, an arts, crafts and gifts shopping extravaganza, on November 5, 6 – 10 pm. The Bazaar will be held in the west corridor of the second floor of the Murphy Arts Center in historic Fountain Square. This event is the first of its kind at the Murphy Arts Center and is part of the First Friday happenings in the Murphy and surrounding businesses. Murphy's Seasonal Bazaar provides an opportunity for local artists to sell their products just in time for the gift giving season and for shoppers to find that perfect gift. The Murphy Art Center Artists believe that art and handcrafted goods are the perfect way to spread holiday cheer. Additionally, handcrafted items provide one of a kind gifts that are not found in big box stores.
